Alex Skelton

BSc (Hon)

ADHD Peer Coach

Meet Alex!

Hi, I'm Alex! I'm completing my Master's degree at Brandon University, researching adult ADHD and cognition, building on an Honours BSc in Psychology. My coaching is grounded in current research and lived-experience. Its practical, collaborative support for the real day-to-day reality of living with ADHD. ADHD looks and feels different for everyone, so coaching is tailored to your specific brain and what you're actually dealing with. I work with clients at any stage of the diagnosis journey, whether that's a childhood diagnosis, an adult diagnosis, or you simply suspect ADHD and want support figuring out what that means for you.

More about me

I was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult, after years of it being missed. Since then, I've had a lot of trial and error figuring out what my own ADHD actually looks like. Learning where I need support, how to build that support in a way that actually sticks, and when to ask for help instead of white-knuckling through it. I know the highs of an ADHD brain firsthand, the hyperfocus and the creativity and the way ideas just click, but I also know the lows: the burnout, the shame spiral after missing something "simple," the exhaustion of masking. I'm not coaching from the outside looking in. I've lived the whole spectrum of it, and that's exactly what I bring into our work together.

Peer coaching isn't therapy or clinical treatment. I never assume there's one right way to have ADHD, or that you haven't already tried everything. We'll work from where you actually are, building systems that match how your brain works instead of forcing you into ones that don't.
